Anniston recognized for safety
Plant is finalist in safety leadership award
Anniston associates recently received international recognition for their commitment to safety.
The Anniston team was selected as one of four finalists for the Safety Leadership Award presented by the Pulp and Paper International Association. In order to be considered for the award, the team had to submit an essay outlining the approach to safety and data showing the decrease in safety-related incidents.
Plant Manager Neal Stephenson credits his team for the accomplishment. “We have a great group of associates at the plant,” he said. Stephenson added a factor of their success is the fact that associates are “working more on safety as a team and trying to improve preventative actions. Associates focus more now on keeping the entire workplace safe and watching out for each other.”
