Hosting Monthly Forums Builds Partnership with Emerging Architects
Young Architects Forum of the American Institute of Architects’ Charlotte chapter visits NGC
On September 12, 2019, National Gypsum served as host to a group of about 20 young professionals from the Young Architects Forum of the American Institute of Architects’ Charlotte chapter. The architects are selected by the AIA through a rigorous application process designed to identify and cultivate the profession’s future leaders.
“Hosting the group is an opportunity for National Gypsum to grow its role as trusted partner to these emerging professionals,” said Amy Hockett, manager of architectural services and sustainability for National Gypsum and an architect herself.
National Gypsum provides space for the group’s monthly meetings – recently at the Technology Innovation Center and this month in the new Customer Solutions Center, which offers an environment conducive to collaboration and interactive learning.
“These are the future specifications writers who will choose the building materials that contribute to the success of their clients’ projects, and our ongoing involvement is a great way to familiarize them with National Gypsum’s great people and products,” said Hockett.
