Learn to select UL-certified fire designs using the online UL Product iQ directory. This presentation covers locating fire-rated roof-ceilings, walls and partitions, floor-ceilings, beams and columns certified to UL 263. It also discusses the fire-resistant properties of gypsum board and permitted modifications in UL fire-rated assemblies. Course led by NGC-certified presenters, offering 1.0 LU/HSW credit.

  • Learn about the various types of fire-resistant gypsum board including where and why those products are specified in fire-rated designs.
  • Review how products are tested, in accordance with ASTM E119: Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials and the criteria that must be met to be included in the UL Fire Resistant Directory.
  • Gain a clear understanding of what options UL allows when specifying various fire-rated designs.
  • Learn to navigate the online fire-resistant directory, UL Product iQ to quickly find the fire-rated designs needed for project requirements.
