Gold Bond® BRAND Exterior Soffit Board has a specially treated gypsum core covered on both sides with 100% recycled water-repellent paper formed to the Gold Bond Sta-Smooth edge.

Basic Uses

Exterior Soffit Board is a fire-resistive gypsum panel, designed to provide the extra resistance to moisture and sagging required to meet outdoor conditions. It is typically used for sheltered exterior ceiling and soffit areas, such as covered parking areas, walkways and marquees in commercial construction and, in residential construction, carports, breezeways and open porches. Soffit Board is limited to ceiling use only. Do not use on sidewalls or vertical surfaces.

For ceilings, the board is secured to wood framing or furring in the conventional manner, or to metal framing either by direct attachment or by suspended metal furring.

Advantages
